HISTORY
SILENTSYS SAS is a french company, incorporated in France in February 2021, that began its story in august 2019 at the Time and Frequency laboratory of the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. The project, named Silent-laser, was supported by the Swiss funding Bridge Proof-of-Concept and awarded by the start-up competition Venture Kick. Since its incorporation in France, SILENTSYS is based in Le Mans and has been supported by the local and national incubator Le Mans Innovation / Atlanpole, by Le Mans Université, and by BPI France.

SILENTSYS was founded and is led by people that are passionate for innovation, with a mission to redefine the boundaries of ultralow noise technologies.
Our executive team.
Dr. Pierre Brochard
Pierre Brochard is the President and co-founder. He is a photonics scientist and entrepreneur with a passion for new technologies and challenges. Since February 2021, he leads the company with a high motivation and expert knowledge on ultralow noise systems acquired during his international career in the field of time and frequency metrology.
Ing. Romain Frénéhard
Romain Frénéhard is the CEO and co-founder. He is an electronics engineer with a long experience in industrial process and he is expert in low-noise electronics. Since the creation of SILENTSYS, he manages internal teams, process and projects to obtain an organization that best meets the needs of our customers in order to offers quality products.
Ing. Pierre Heslon
Pierre Heslon is the deputy CEO. He graduated as an innovation engineer and began his career in consulting and accompanying innovative companies where he worked with SILENTSYS during its early years.. He joined the adventure in 2023 to support the executives in management and with the goal of helping the team and the company grow.

Prof. Mehdi Alouini
Mehdi Alouini is the Director of Institut FOTON and scientific advisor for Thales. Mehdi received the Ph.D. degree in laser physics from the University of Rennes in 2001. He was with Thales Research and Technology, Palaiseau, France, as a Research Scientist from 2001 to 2009. Since then, he joined the University of Rennes 1, France, as an Associate Professor then a Full Professor, where he led, up to 2017, the Optics and Photonics Department, Institut de Physique de Rennes.
Dr. Adèle Morisset
Adèle Morisset (CTO & COO) co-founded AeroDIODE in 2020 with Sébastien Ermeneux. Adèle graduated from an electronics & optics engineering school and a thesis with ALPhANOV and University of Bordeaux in 2013. She developed and managed projects on photonics systems like laser based microscopy system but also on the development of electronic boards for driving photonic components. This opto-electronics expertise is now at the heart of AeroDIODE solutions.
